Susan S. Westerlund M.D.
Dr. Susan S. Westerlund M.D. – lovingly known by her patients as Dr. Suz - is a board-certified gynecologist with a practice committed to comprehensive women’s health and wellness. Dr. Suz wants all women of all types to be their best and feel their best at every stage of life. She has a particular interest in hormone optimization strategies and management as well as sexual health. Dr. Suz was raised in North Dakota, competing as a nationally ranked gymnast, then attended college at North Dakota State University. She next pursued masters-program graduate studies in exercise physiology before attending medical school at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Suz moved east, accepting a residency position in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the prestigious Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. It was there at Georgetown that she discovered her passion for hormone optimization, training with internationally regarded colleague and mentor Dr. James Simon M.D. and others.

Dr. Suz has been in practice here in Columbus, Georgia since 2008, and is preparing to launch her new clinical practice, WesterWell Gynecology, Health, and Wellness. She enjoys cooking, food, music, spending time with her husband and three sons, and all things good and positive.


Richard E. Stephens, Jr., M.D.
Richard Stephens, Jr., M.D. is a Board Certified Gynecologist and a native from Columbus, GA.

In 2002, Dr. Stephens received his Medical Degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. In 2006, Dr. Stephens obtained his Board Certification from the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecology. After practicing with OBGYN & Associates for fourteen years he joined Dr. Westerlund's Gynecology practice and has been with her since. Dr. Stephens offers Hormone Replacement Therapy for both men and women, along with GYN services, infertility treatments, and outpatient surgeries.

In Dr. Stephens free time he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
